Rapeseed Honey Now Available
Did you know that we have bee hives on the nursery? Next time you visit, take a look towards the wildflowers by the pond and you might see them on the right hand side by the office.
The honey bees are doing well and Duncan has just finished jarring the rapeseed honey which is now available to purchase for a £6 donation which all goes to Cancer Research UK.
What is rapeseed honey?
Rapeseed honey is the first batch of honey produced by honeybees that feed on rapeseed in the fields nearby. The honey is white and creamy in texture and is great for spreading on toast! It has a moderate sweetness and a unique flavour and comes with a long list of health benefits. Some people use it to relieve hay fever symptoms.
Try it for yourself! You can find our rapeseed honey inside the Plant Centre at the checkout. Available while stock lasts.
